Ollie Robinson: Sussex bowler ruled out for a month with groin injury
“He’s out of playing now for probably a month and then we’ll look to bring him in towards the back end of the 50-over comp, maybe bring him in for three of the last four games and then get him ready for the final Championship games.”
Former England pace bowler Robinson has taken 24 wickets in seven red ball matches for Sussex this season at an average of 29.87.
The club are currently fifth in the table with 125 points after 10 games following their promotion back to the top tier last year and Farbrace said Robinson’s absence as a blow.
“We need him fully fit and available to help us. We’ve seen in this game that we could have done with his bowling but he wasn’t available and we need him fit and strong to help us,” Farbrace said.
“Equally it’s an opportunity for other people. We’ve won two of our three games without him in the Championship this year. It’s a shame when you haven’t got people available.”
