Ukraine exhibition to hold minute’s silence
A minute’s silence is to be held at a museum in West Sussex to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Throughout February, Worthing Museum has been hosting a photographic exhibition, featuring portraits and stories of 20 Ukrainian women who have taken refuge in the Adur and Worthing area.
Iryna Tyazhkorob, Ukrainian support co-ordinator in Adur and Worthing, said the images “illustrate their odyssey from Ukraine to West Sussex”.
The exhibition is the work of photographer Stephan De Quaire.
Several organisations across the county are helping Ukrainian refugees who are settled there, including Worthing 4 Refugees and the Adur Ukraine Support Association.
The minute’s silence will take place at 11:00 GMT on Monday.
