Firefighters rescue person stuck on big wheel in Worthing

A person stuck on a big wheel in West Sussex has been rescued by firefighters.

Crews were called to reports of a person “stuck at a height” on the Worthing Wheel at about 15:30 BST on Sunday, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said.

The person was brought to safety by firefighters using an ariel ladder, the service added.

A total of two fire engines and an aerial ladder were sent to the scene. They left at about 18:00.
